Open Door Education (OD-E) offers support in connecting knowledge and action in education and education research. School boards, policy makers and researchers often start from assumptions that do not apply in the classroom. As a result, teachers must deal with institutions that understand too little of the true educational process. The discrepancy in views between those who act in education and those who 'know' is not in the interest of quality education. OD-E offers support in developing an approach to education and education research that acknowledges the interpersonal and moral character of education.

OD-E offers advice to policymakers, researchers, schools, teachers and parents. It is also active as a research partner in national and international projects. Working out of Amsterdam, we service the Dutch and Northern European markets.

We recognize that, behind closed classroom door, interesting examples of teacher craftsmanship can be seen. OD-E develops technology to open these doors and make the actions of teachers and students visible for outsiders.
